Blue Hawks and Orediggers receive first edition of 2026 Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Men’s Outdoor Track & Field weekly honors

HELENA, Mont. – Dickinson State (N.D.) and Montana Tech received the first installment of the 2026 Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Men’s Outdoor Track & Field weekly honors, announced Tuesday by the conference office.

Men’s Outdoor Field Athlete-of-the-Week: Dylan Dahlgren, Dickinson State (N.D.)

Dahlgren, a senior from Soldotna, Alaska, was selected as the Field Athlete-of-the-Week.

Dahlgren had a productive outdoor track & field season opener at NCAA Division II meet, the Marauders Outdoor Opener for Dickinson State (N.D.).  He threw the NAIA ‘B’ provisional qualifying mark of 55.81 meters (183 feet, 1 inch) in the hammer throw and captured the event title. 

Dahlgren ranks second in the NAIA hammer throw.  He also threw 15.50 meters (50 feet, 10.25 inches) in the shot put for a second-place finish and 45.83 meters (150 feet, 4 inches) in the discus for a fourth-place finish.

It was Dahlgren’s first career Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Men’s Outdoor Track & Field weekly honor.

Men's Outdoor Track Athlete-of-the-Week: Morgan McClernan, Montana Tech

McClernan, a senior from Butte, Mont., was chosen as the Track Athlete-of-the-Week.

McClernan set personal records in both hurdles’ events for Montana Tech at the Yellowjackets/Battlin’ Bears Open.  He earned his first career NAIA ‘B’ provisional qualifying time and program record 14.29 seconds. 

He also clocked a time of 53.95 seconds in the 400-meter hurdles.  McClernan won both hurdles’ titles for the Orediggers.

It was McClernan’s first career Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Men’s Outdoor Track & Field weekly honor.
