HELENA, Mont. – No. 24 Carroll (Mont.) and No. 17 Rocky Mountain (Mont.) kicked off the New Year 2026 on the tenth edition of the 2025-26 Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Women’s Basketball Players-of-the-Week, announced by the conference office Monday.
Offensive Player of the Week: Willa Albrecht, Carroll (Mont.)
Albrecht, a senior forward from Billings, Mont., was selected as the Offensive Player of the Week.
She was the hero in No. 24 ranked Carroll’s (Mont.) 65-63 victory over No. 4 ranked Dakota State, knocking down a game-winner with less than a second remaining to help seal the victory. The night was memorable all around as she became the 25
th member of Carroll women’s basketball program to reach 1,000-point club.
Albrecht followed up the 16-point performance with a game-high 22 points in CC’s 58-34 victory over Bellevue (Neb.).
For the week, Albrecht shot 50 percent overall from the field (16-of-32 field goals) as the Fighting Saints went 2-0 record for the weekend. She also averaged 2.0 assists per game.
This is Albrecht’s seventh career Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Player of the Week.
Defensive Player of the Week: Isabelle Heggem, Rocky Mountain (Mont.)
Heggem, a sophomore forward from Winifred, Mont., was selected as the Defensive Player of the Week. It is the third straight installment that she has received the conference weekly award.
She had an outstanding defensive weekend to propel No. 17 ranked Rocky Mountain (Mont.) to a 2-0 record for the weekend, recording double digits defensive rebounds. Heggem collected 10 defensive rebounds (15 total rebounds) and registered three blocks in RMC’s 72-58 win over Bellevue (Neb.).
She followed up with 17 defensive rebounds (20 total rebounds) and four blocks in Battlin’ Bears 55-52 win over No. 4 ranked Dakota State (S.D.).
Heggem totaled 27 defensive rebounds and seven blocks in two games for Rocky Mountain.
This is Heggem’s sixth career Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Player of the Week.
