HELENA, Mont. – Carroll swept the final edition of the 2024-25 Erck Hotels/Frontier Men’s Indoor Track & Field Athletes-of-the-Week, announced Tuesday by the conference office.
Indoor Field Athlete-of-the-Week: Tucker Monaco, Carroll
Monaco, a sophomore from Bakersfield, Calif., was selected as the Field Athlete-of-the-Week.
Monaco won the men’s heptathlon at the Mountain States Games for the Saints. He scored a career best 5,156 points, which is also the second-best mark in the NAIA.
Monaco produced personal records 60-meter dash time of 7.34 seconds and 1000-meter run time of 2:38.72 during his heptathlon competition.
Indoor Track Athlete-of-the-Week: Carroll Distance Medley Relay Team
The Carroll distance medley relay team of Bryce Gardner (1200-meters), Peter Rehberger (400-meters), Wyatt Ehredt (800-meters) and Zach Gacnik (1600-meters) covered the 4000-meter relay under the NAIA ‘B’ qualifying standard at the Mountain State Games.
They earned a ticket to the NAIA Indoor Track & Field National Championship in Florida by clocking a time of 10 minutes, 40.84 seconds.
