HELENA, Mont. – Montana Western swept the sixth edition of the 2025-26 Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Men’s Basketball Players-of-the-Week honors, announced Monday by the conference office.

Offensive Player of the Week: Emanuel Steward, Montana Western Steward, a senior guard from Portland, Ore., was selected as the Offensive Player-of-the-Week.

He dropped a double-double with game-highs in both points (22) and assists (10) in the No. 23 ranked Bulldogs’ 82-80 road overtime victory at No. 4 ranked Montana Tech, remaining undefeated in Frontier Conference play. 

Steward shot 47.1 percent from the field (8-of-17 field goals), 3-of-5 from the 3-point line and hit all three free throw attempts. 

This is Steward’s first career Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Player of the Week award.

Defensive Player of the Week: David Young, Montana Western Young, a junior guard from El Dorado Hills, Calif., was selected as the Defensive Player of the Week.

He posted season-high and game-best four steals as No. 23 ranked Montana Western stayed undefeated in Frontier Conference play with an 82-80 overtime road victory at No. 4 ranked Montana Tech.

Young also pulled down a team-best seven rebounds (6 defensive rebounds) against the Orediggers.  He leads the team with 1.3 steals per game this season.

This is Young’s first career Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Player of the Week award.
