KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Leading into the final two weeks of regular season, there a new No. 1 in
Providence (Mont.) in the latest edition of the NAIA Women’s Volleyball Top 25 poll. It is the highest ranking in Argos’ program history, thanks to their current 24-match winning streak.
Providence is inching closer to securing the Frontier Conference Volleyball regular season title with four matches remaining. The Argos are 25-1 overall record and hold a perfect 18-0 undefeated record in the Frontier Conference contests. UP scored 502 points in the national poll.
Bellevue (Neb.) gained more points to the national poll and remained at No. 7 with 415 points. The Bruins are 20-3 overall record and 16-2 record in the league. The Bruins’ last 10 matches have landed in the win column, with the team’s last loss being to Providence.
Dakota State (S.D.), MSU-Northern, Montana Tech, and Carroll (Mont.) each received votes recognition in the national poll. The Trojans (14-10 overall record) scored 22 points, followed by the Skylights (15-9 overall record) with four points. The Orediggers (14-10 overall record) and the Fighting Saints (15-11 overall record each scored three points.
The Frontier Conference has four conference matches remaining on their regular season schedule. The postseason tournament will be held at PE Center in Helena, Mont., on Nov. 13-15.
