BU, UP, and MSU-N earn ninth edition of 2025-26 Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Volleyball Players-of-the-Week honors

HELENA, Mont.  –  Bellevue (Neb.), Providence (Mont.), and MSU-Northern earned the ninth installment of the 2025-26 Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Women’s Volleyball Players-of-the-Week honors, announced Monday by the conference office.

Attacker of the Week: Eve Fountain, Bellevue (Neb.)

Fountain, a senior outside hitter from Omaha, Neb, was chosen as the Attacker of the Week.

She recorded her team-leading eighth and ninth double-doubles of the season in wins over (RV) Dakota State (S.D.) and Dickinson State (N.D.), fueling the 8th ranked Bellevue (Neb.) to a 3-0 record. 

Fountain tallied 22 kills (4.4 kills per set) and 12 digs (2.4 digs per set) in BU’s 3-2 victory at Dakota State.  She hit .340 in the match.  She followed up with 14 kills (3.5 kills per set) and 19 digs (4.75 digs) in 3-1 victory over Dickinson State.

For the week, Fountain averaged 3.7 kills (37 kills) and 3.3 digs (33 digs) per set for the Bruins.  She also added four blocks and three service aces.

This is Fountain’s third career Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Player of the Week award.

Setter of the Week: Bella Thompson, Providence (Mont.)

Thompson, a senior setter from Kapahulu, Oahu, was named Setter of the Week.

She averaged 11.86 assists per set as No. 3 ranked Providence (Mont.) went 3-0 for the week, extending their winning streak to 20 matches.  She also averaged 3.86 digs and 0.86 blocks per set.  She registered four service aces for the week.

Thompson posted double-doubles of 38 set assists and 10 digs in 3-0 sweep over MSU-Northern.  She added another double-double of 37 assists and 12 digs in 3-0 victory over No. 24 ranked Carroll (Mont.).

This is Thompson’s 17th career Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Player of the Week award.

Defender of the Week: Baily Egan, MSU-Northern

Egan, a senior libero/defensive specialist from Colstrip, Mont., was selected as the Defender of the Week.

She helped the Skylights to a 2-1 record after averaging an impressive 7.11 digs (64 total digs) for the week.  Egan collected 30 digs (10.0 digs per set) in MSU-N’s 3-0 home victory over No. 24 ranked Carroll (Mont.).

She added 17 digs (5.67 digs per set) each against UP and Rocky Mountain (Mont.). 

This is Egan’s third career Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Player of the Week award.
