KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Two Frontier Conference teams remain nationally ranked, while Montana Tech continues to receive votes in the first regular-season edition of the 2026 NAIA Women’s Volleyball Coaches’ Top 25 Poll, announced Wednesday by the national office.

Providence (Mont.) leads the Frontier Conference at No. 7, followed by Bellevue (Neb.) at No. 19. Montana Tech is listed in the receiving votes (RV) section.

Providence slipped one spot from its No. 6 preseason ranking despite opening the season with a 6-1 overall record. The Argos’ lone setback came against nationally ranked Lewis-Clark State (Idaho), which moved into a tie for No. 12 in Wednesday’s poll.

The Argos collected six non-conference victories during their opening stretch, highlighted by a victory over Oklahoma Wesleyan, which was ranked No. 12 in the preseason poll. Providence begins its Frontier Conference schedule at Carroll (Mont.) and Rocky Mountain (Mont.) this weekend.

Bellevue is ranked No. 19 after starting the season with a 4-2 overall record. The Bruins were ranked No. 8 in the preseason poll. Bellevue’s early-season schedule included a loss to Taylor (Ind.), which jumped into the national rankings at No. 14.

Montana Tech continues to receive national recognition after also receiving votes in the preseason poll. The Orediggers opened the season with a 5-1 overall record, where they had won the last five matches before their conference season opening weekend.

Eastern Oregon took over the No. 1 ranking after opening the season with an 11-0 record. The Mountaineers received 17 of the 18 first-place votes. Northwestern (Iowa), the preseason No. 1 team, dropped one spot to No. 2 with a 6-1 record.

The first regular-season poll featured significant movement after the opening weeks of non-conference competition. College of Idaho made the largest jump among teams entering the Top 10, climbing nine positions from No. 18 to No. 9, while Lewis-Clark State jumped 11 spots to a tie for No. 12.

The Frontier Conference’s 22-match league schedule is underway as teams begin the race toward the 2026 Frontier Conference Women’s Volleyball Postseason Tournament, scheduled for Nov. 12-14 at Carroll College’s PE Center in Helena, Mont.
