PHOENIX, Ariz. -- Rocky Mountain College sits atop the team standings after two rounds of the 2026 Frontier Conference Women’s Golf Championship, posting a 36-hole total of 660 Tuesday at Papago Golf Club. Bellevue is second at 674, Carroll is third at 682, and Montana Tech is close behind in fourth at 683, keeping the top of the leaderboard tightly packed as the tournament continues.

From the conference perspective, the first two rounds produced clear separation among the leading teams while still leaving movement possible entering Wednesday. Rocky Mountain opened with the low team round of the event, a 326, then followed with a 334 to maintain the lead. Bellevue improved from 344 in the first round to 330 in the second, the best Round 2 team score in the field, to move into second. Carroll stayed steady with rounds of 342 and 340, while Montana Tech remained within striking distance after rounds of 340 and 343. Dickinson State rounded out the top five teams at 692 after matching rounds of 346, while Mayville State (906), Providence (MT) (915) and Valley City State also completed two rounds as part of the eight-team field.

The individual race has been led by Dickinson State’s Brooklyn Materi, who carded rounds of 80 and 79 for a tournament-best 159, or 15 over par on the 6,475-yard, par-72 setup. Rocky Mountain’s Grace Metcalf and Montana Tech’s Emma Woods are tied for second at 161. Woods delivered one of the tournament’s early standout rounds with a 79 in the opening round, helping the Orediggers stay near the top of the team race, while Metcalf’s consistent 80-81 finish helped anchor Rocky Mountain’s first-place position. Rounding out the top five players in the field, Rocky Mountain’s Alivia Webinger and Carroll’s Ellie Stastny each stand at 163.

Those top individual performances have mirrored the team standings. Rocky Mountain placed two golfers among the top five with Metcalf and Webinger, a major reason the Battlin’ Bears hold the lead. Bellevue’s climb into second came on the strength of a strong second round team-wide, cutting 14 strokes from its opening score. Carroll stayed in contention behind Stastny’s 163 and steady scoring across both rounds, while Montana Tech remained one shot back of third with Woods continuing to pace the Orediggers. Dickinson State, fifth in the team race, can point to Materi’s field-leading 79 in Round 2 as the best closing push among the tournament’s top individual contenders.

The tournament is ongoing, with the third round teeing off at 7 a.m. Mountain Time Wednesday at Papago Golf Club.
