DICKINSON, N.D. – Carroll (Mont.) secured an early lead in the 2026 Frontier Conference Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Championship team standings, thanks to a pair of athletes placing in the top two in the decathlon.  The conference multi-events took place at Biesiot Activities Center on the campus of Dickinson State (N.D.) on April 19-20.

A total of 17 athletes from six different schools – Dakota State (S.D.), Dickinson State, Carroll (Mont.), Montana Tech, Rocky Mountain (Mont.), and Valley City State (N.D.) – competed in decathlon, consisting of ten different events on the two-day span (five events on each day).

Carson Krack of CC won the decathlon title with 7,078 points, followed by his teammate Tucker Monaco with 6,693 points.  Tysen Grinde of Dakota State was third with 6,667 points.  Krack, Monaco, and Grinde each earned Frontier Conference All-Conference award.

The Saints scored 18 points after the first event of the men’s conference outdoor track & field team standings.  Montana Tech is second with 10 points, followed by Dakota State third with six points, Dickinson State fourth with three points, and Valley City State fifth with two points.
