HELENA, Mont. – Bellevue (Neb.) swept the eighth edition of the 2025-26 Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Baseball Players-of-the-Week, announced by the conference office Monday.
Pitcher of the Week: Reid Madariaga, Bellevue (Neb.)
Madariaga, a senior pitcher Mililiani, Hawaii, was named the Pitcher-of-the-Week.
Madariaga fired a complete game five-hitter, striking out nine against one walk in helping No. 4 ranked Bellevue (Neb.) to their four-game home series sweep of Valley City State (N.D.), ballooning their winning streak to 15 games.
He posted an 11.57 strikeout/per nine innings and allowed two runs in a seven-inning game.
This is Madariaga’s first career Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Player of the Week award.
Player of the Week: Carter Claerhout, Bellevue (Neb.)
Claerhout, a senior first baseman from Red Deer, Alberta, Canada, was named the Player-of-the-Week for the second straight week.
Claerhout recorded at least two hits during the week as No. 4 ranked Bellevue (Neb.) went 5-0 record, extending their winning streak to 15 games after defeating Midland (Neb.) and a four-game series sweep over Valley City State (N.D.). He recorded three hits in four consecutive weeks before closing the week with two hits.
Claerhout scored multiple runs four times in five games and had a pair of multi-extra base hits games. He extended his hitting streak to eight games. Claerhout produced .700 batting average (14-of-20 at the plate), .727 on-base percentage, and 1.550 slugging percentage. He hit a home run in each of the five games and drove in 10 runs. He added two doubles for the week.
Defensively, Claerhout was errorless in 38 total chances with 37 put-outs and one assist.
This is Claerhout’s third career Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Player of the Week award.
