HELENA, Mont. – Dakota State (S.D.) and Bellevue (Neb.) were listed on the ninth installment of the 2025-26 Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Baseball Players-of-the-Week, announced by the conference office Monday.

Pitcher of the Week: Kellan Johns, Dakota State (S.D.) Johns, a junior pitcher Everett, Wash., was named the Pitcher-of-the-Week.

Johns fueled Dakota State (S.D.) from 5-1 first inning deficit to a 7-6 10-inning thrilling victory over rival Dakota Wesleyan (S.D.) in a non-conference game.  The Trojans came back from North Dakota late Sunday night and played on the next day in Mitchell, S.D. 

Johns came in relief in the bottom first inning with DSU trailing 5-1 and held the Tigers scoreless through the ninth inning to allow DSU to rally back to tie the game at 5-5 after regulation.  He earned the victory after tossing nine innings with 104 pitches in relief, limiting DWU to one run (in the bottom 10^th) on four hits and recording nine strikeouts. 

Johns was the first Trojan pitcher to pitch nine innings in a game this season.

This is Johns’ first career Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Player of the Week award.

Player of the Week: Anthony Lind, Bellevue (Neb.) Lind, a senior outfielder from Omaha, Neb., was named Player-of-the-Week.

Lind went 1-for-2 in No. 3 Bellevue’s (Neb.) lone game of the game, defeating York (Neb.) 5-4.  He hit a game-tying home run in the bottom seventh inning.  He finished the game with two runs batted in (RBIs). 

Lind also threw out the game-tying trying at second base (from right) to stretch a single into a double in the top of the ninth, extending the Bruins to their 16^th straight victory.

This is Lind’s second career Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Player of the Week award.
