KANSAS CITY, Mo. – A pair of Frontier Conference teams are ranked inside the NAIA Men’s Basketball Coaches’ Top 25 national poll; the fifth edition of the national poll was announced Wednesday morning.

Montana Tech dropped five spots from No. 15 to No. 20 ranking with an overall record of 16-4 after going 2-1 record in the previous three games.  The Orediggers collected 179 points to the national poll.  MT is 10-4 record in the league.

Montana Tech remains on the road at Carroll (Mont.) and newly nationally ranked Rocky Mountain (Mont.) this weekend and returns home next weekend versus Dickinson State (N.D.) and Bismarck State (N.D.).

Rocky Mountain enters the NAIA’s Top 25 for the first time this season at No. 23, thanks to their current seven-game winning streak.  The Battlin’ Bears tallied 124 points to the poll.  RMC is 17-3 overall record and is currently in a two-way tie for first place in the Frontier Conference standings with 12-2 record each.

Rocky Mountain returns home this weekend versus Montana Western and Montana Tech.  The Battlin’ Bears then will travel to Dakota State (S.D.) and Bellevue on the first weekend of February.

Bellevue returns to the receiving votes (RV) section for the first time since the third edition of the national poll on Dec. 17.  The Bruins recorded five points to their national poll with an overall of 17-3, currently on a three-game winning streak.  BU also shares the league’s leader with RMC with 12-2 conference record each.

Bellevue remains on the road this weekend, visiting Mayville State (N.D.) and Valley City State (N.D.).  The Bruins return home next weekend versus Carroll and Rocky Mountain.
