HELENA, Mont. – (RV) Carroll (Mont.) and Bellevue (Neb.) were named to the 12
th edition of the 2025-26 Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Men’s Basketball Players-of-the-Week, the conference office announced Monday.
Offensive Player of the Week: Isaiah Crane, Carroll (Mont. )
Crane, a redshirt sophomore guard from Portland, was named the Offensive Player-of-the-Week.
He had one of the most impressive single-game performances in (RV) Carroll (Mont.) history last Saturday, matching a 55-year-old program record with 48 points in CC’s 109-101 win at Providence (Mont.). Crane was 18-of-20 from the floor in the win, 3-of-5 from the 3-point line, and 9-of-11 at the free-throw line.
He added 18 points on his 8-of-12 field goals, despite an 89-73 setback at MSU-Northern.
For the week, Crane averaged 33.0 points per game. He shot a blazing 81.3 percent from the field (26-of-32 field goals), 3-of-6 from the 3-point line and hit 11-of-13 from the free-throw line. He also averaged 2.0 assists and 1.5 offensive rebounds per game.
This is Crane’s sixth career Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Player of the Week award.
Defensive Player of the Week: JJ Montgomery, Bellevue (Neb.)
Montgomery, a senior guard from Hayward, Calif., was selected as the Defensive Player-of-the-Week.
He registered a pair of steals in a pair of conference home victories over (RV) Montana Western and No. 15 ranked Montana Tech. The diminutive drew the defensive assignment of locking and trailing UMW’s leading scorer and held the league’s leading scorer’s eight points below his season average and allowed him to get off just six (6) field goal attempts in Bellevue’s 80-67 win.
Montgomery followed up by holding the Orediggers’ leading scorer to just ten points, six points below his season average as the Bruins knocked off No. 15 MT 67-62.
He added 2.0 defensive rebounds per game for the week.
This is Montgomery’s first career Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Player of the Week award.
