BU’s Steinmetz tabbed as 2025 Erck Hotels/Frontier Women’s Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week

HELENA, Mont. – Grace Steinmetz of Bellevue (Neb.) was selected for the 2025 Erck Hotels/Frontier Women’s Cross Country Runner-of-the-Week honor, announced Tuesday by the conference office.  There were no nominees for the men’s cross country weekly award.

The Frontier Conference Cross Country virtual media day is scheduled for next Wednesday, Oct. 8.  Stay tuned to the FC conference website for schedule.

Women's Runner of the Week: Grace Steinmetz, Bellevue (Neb.)

Steinmetz, a freshman from Council Bluffs, Iowa, was named as the Women’s Runner of the Week.

She placed second out of 238 runners in the 6K open division at the Gans Creek Classic, hosted by NCAA Division I Missouri.  Steinmetz was the top NAIA runner in the meet, where she established a new school record time of 21 minutes, 33.7 seconds.

Her time is the fifth fastest 6K in the NAIA this season for Bellevue.   

This is Steinmetz’s first career Erck Hotels/Frontier Women’s Cross Country weekly honor.
