KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Carroll (Mont.) became the second Frontier Conference team to be ranked inside the NAIA Women’s Cross Country Top 25 national poll, the third installment of the poll was announced Thursday afternoon by the conference office.
Montana Tech climbed five spots from the previous national poll, ranking at No. 17 with 263 points. The Orediggers were in the NAIA’s Top 25 in all editions this season.
Carroll moved from the receiving votes (RV) section to No. 20 ranking with 194 points. The Fighting Saints returned to the NAIA’s Top 25 for the first time since Aug. 21, where they were ranked No. 24 in the preseason poll.
Dakota State (S.D.) was listed in the receiving votes section for the fourth consecutive national poll this season. The Trojans tallied 25 points.
The Frontier Cross Country teams are idle this weekend and will return to their final regular season meet next weekend in the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge in Grand Rapids, Mich., and NAIA Blazing Tiger Classic in Ashland, Neb.
The Frontier Cross Country Championships are set for Friday, Nov. 7 at Amend Park in Billings, Mont., hosted by Rocky Mountain (Mont.).
The next NAIA Women's Cross Country Coaches' Top 25 national poll release is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 30.
