MT and UMW listed on four edition of 2025 Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Football Players-of-the-Week

HELENA, Mont. – A pair of athletes from Montana Tech and an athlete from Montana Western were selected on the fourth edition of the 2025 Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Football Players-of-the-Week, announced by the conference office Monday. 
 
Offensive Player of the Week: Levi Torgerson, Montana Tech

Torgerson, a senior wide receiver from Great Falls, Mont., is the Offensive Player of the Week.

He caught eight passes for 222 yards with four touchdowns in No. 6 ranked Montana Tech’s 37-14 road victory at then No. 24 ranked Southern Oregon.  He averaged 29.0 yards per reception in the game.  Torgerson recorded touchdown receptions of 74-, 4-, 70-, and 43-yards.

His receiving yards and touchdown catches were both Orediggers’ school single-game program records.

Torgerson also completed a 29-yard pass and picked up 61 kick-off return yards for MT.  He ranks 12th in the NAIA this season in receiving touchdowns and 26th in receiving yards.

This is Torgerson’s fourth career Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Player of the Week award.

Defensive Player of the Week: Tel Arthur, Montana Tech

Arthur, a senior linebacker from Missoula, Mont., is the Defensive Player of the Week.

He made a game-high 14 tackles (10 solos, 4 assists) as No. 6 ranked Montana Tech held then No. 24 Southern Oregon to just two touchdowns in a 37-14 road victory.

Arthur made 3.5 tackles-of-loss of eight yards, including a pair of quarterback sacks of six yards loss for the Orediggers.  He currently ranks sixth in the NAIA in tackles (37) and has two games with double-digit tackles (both against ranked opponents).

This is Arthur’s first career Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Player of the Week award.

Special Teams Player of the Week: Maclain Burckley, Montana Western

Burckley, a redshirt freshman kicker/punter from Billings, Mont., is the Special Teams Player of the Week.

He had a perfect day on kicking as No. 9 ranked Montana Western pulled away past Rocky Mountain (Mont.) 35-21 on the road.  He was perfect 3-for-3 on PAT extra point kicks and 2-for-2 on field goals.

Burckley drilled a season-best 47-yard attempt, the longest by any kicker in the Frontier Conference thus far this season, just before the half to put the Bulldogs up 13-7.  He also hit a 31-yard try early in the second quarter.

He recorded four punts for an average of 45.0 yards, with all his four punts landing inside the 20-yard line. 

This is Burckley’s first career Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Player of the Week award.
