HELENA, Mont. – No. 11 ranked Montana Tech swept the third installment of the 2025 Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Football Players-of-the-Week, announced Monday by the conference office. 
 
Offensive Player of the Week: Wykece Johnson, Montana Tech Johnson, a graduate student running back from Lexington, Miss., is the Offensive Player of the Week.  It was the second straight week that he had received the honor.

He carried the football 27 times for 139 yards with one touchdown in Orediggers’ 34-23 home victory over Rocky Mountain (Mont.).  He scored a key 3-yard touchdown in the third quarter to bring the score to its final standing.  He averaged 5.1 yards per rush in the game. 

Johnson leads the NAIA In rushing yards (484) and carries (85) and ranks second in yards per game (161.3).

This is Johnson’s second career Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Player of the Week award.

Defensive Player of the Week: Justin Webber, Montana Tech Webber, a redshirt freshman defensive back from Pasco, Wash., is the Defensive Player of the Week.

He intercepted a pair of passes in the Orediggers’ 34-23 home victory over Rocky Mountain (Mont.).  He returned the first one for 36 yards with a ‘Pick Six’ touchdown in the second quarter to balloon MT’s lead to 13-0. 

Webber’s second pick came late in the fourth quarter to ice the game for Montana Tech.  He also registered a broke up pass and made four tackles.

This is Webber’s first career Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Player of the Week award.

Special Teams Player of the Week: Jace Thompson, Montana Tech Thompson, a senior defense back from Fort Benton, Mont., is the Special Teams Player of the Week.

He blocked a pair of kicks during special teams plays in MT’s 34-23 home victory over Rocky Mountain (Mont.).  Thompson’s first block came in the second quarter on the PAT kick attempt following RMC’s first touchdown.

He also blocked a 35-yard field goal attempt in the fourth quarter that kept it a two-score game.

This is Thompson’s first career Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Player of the Week award.
