HELENA, Mont. – The recipients from Southern Oregon, Dickinson State (N.D.), and Montana Tech were selected to the first edition of the 2025 Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Football Players-of-the-Week. The weekly awards were announced Monday by the conference office.
Offensive Player of the Week: Brandon Barthel, Southern Oregon
Barthel, a senior wide receiver from El Dorado Hills, Calif. is the Offensive Player of the Week.
Barthel made three touchdown catches in the game to fuel No. 22 ranked Raiders to their season home opener over Simpson (Calif.). He kicked off with the 60-yard touchdown catch on SOU’s first play from scrimmage.
Barthel later added touchdown catches of 53 yards and 14 yards. He finished the game with career highs in receptions (7) and receptions yards (182).
He posted the most receptions for a Raider since 2002.
This is Barthel’s first career Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Player of the Week award.
Defensive Player of the Week: Jack Hartman, Dickinson State (N.D.)
Hartman, a senior defensive back from Petaluma, Calif., is the Defensive Player of the Week.
He intercepted two passes in the same quarter, with one interception being returned for a ‘Pick Six’ touchdown to fuel the 13
th ranked Blue Hawks to their season home opener over Valley City State (N.D.).
Hartman’s first interception came in the mid-second quarter, returning 31 yards for a touchdown to extend DiSU’s lead to 17-7.
His second interception came later in the second quarter, preventing the Vikings from scoring. He caught the interception near the end zone to regain possession with less than two minutes to go before halftime.
This is Hartman’s first career Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Player of the Week award.
Special Teams Player of the Week: Levi Torgerson, Montana Tech
Torgerson, a senior wide receiver from Great Falls, Mont., is the Special Teams Player of the Week.
He returned the opening kickoff of 100 yards for a touchdown. Later in the first quarter, Torgerson recorded his first punt return of 91 yards for a touchdown.
He also threw a 13-yard touchdown pass to Parker Johnston with 21 seconds before halftime, ballooning MT’s lead to 31-7.
This is Torgerson’s third career Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Player of the Week award.
