HELENA, Mont. – The SWX Local Sports is set to broadcast another NAIA’s Top 25 nationally ranked teams on Saturday evening.
The 11
th ranked Montana Tech (1-0 overall record) plays their first road non-conference contest of the season as they visit the 25
th ranked Carroll (Mont.) (1-0 overall record). The kick-off is set for 6 p.m. (Mountain Time) at Nelson Stadium.
The Orediggers are coming off from their 38-27 season opening home victory over No. 5 ranked Montana Western in the Copper Game on Aug. 28 in Butte.
CC opened their 2025 season with a 20-0 shutout of MSU-Northern on Aug. 30 in Havre, Mont.
Carroll holds 59-20-2 all-time series record with Montana Tech, which the all-time series began on Oct. 2, 1920 (MT swept season series over CC in 1920). The Orediggers won the previous three meetings with the Fighting Saints, including both meetings last season.
CC’s last victory over MT was on Aug. 31, 2023, in Butte.
