HELENA, Mont. – Rocky Mountain (Mont.) swept the 2025-26 Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Golfers-of-the-Week honors for the second straight week, the fifth installment of the weekly honors were announced Wednesday morning.
Men's Golfer of the Week: Jared Smith, Rocky Mountain (Mont.)
Smith, a senior from Las Vegas, Nev., was selected as the Men’s Golfer of the Week.
He won the Beartooth Invitational following a three-round playoff, leading the Battlin’ Bears to a team tournament win over runner-up No. 17 ranked Lewis-Clark State (Idaho) by 15 strokes. The win marked Smith’s first tournament win in his career at RMC.
He fired a round of 67 (5-under-par), followed by a second round of 68 (4-under-par), and finished the tournament with an even-par 72. Smith finished the tournament at 9-under par 207 strokes.
This is Smith’s second Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Men’s Golfer-of-the-Week honor.
Women's Golfer of the Week: Grace Metcalf, Rocky Mountain (Mont.)
Metcalf, a senior from Arlington, Wash., was selected as the Women’s Golfer of the Week for the second straight week.
She earned her second consecutive tournament victory for No. 23 ranked Battlin’ Bears, thanks to the best round of the field on day two. After recording 79 strokes in the first round, Metcalf fired a 2-under-par 70 strokes.
She fueled the Battlin’ Bears to a 28-stroke victory in Laurel, Mont.
This is Metcalf’s fourth Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Women’s Golfer-of-the-Week honor.
