HELENA, Mont. – The Battlin’ Bears of Rocky Mountain (Mont.) recorded their fourth straight sweep of the 2025-26 Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Golfers-of-the-Week honors, the seventh installment of the weekly honors were announced Wednesday morning.
Men's Golfer of the Week: Jared Smith, Rocky Mountain (Mont.)
Smith, a senior from Las Vegas, Nev., was selected as the Men’s Golfer of the Week.
He dominated the field at the Battle at the Dance at Raindance Invitational. Smith finished the tournament as the individual champion with a total score of 5-under-par 211 strokes.
He finished six strokes ahead of any other competitor, leading the 15
th ranked Battlin’ Bears to a team victory over current No. 13 Ottawa (Ariz.) and No. 25 Hastings (Neb.). Smith shot even-par 72 in the first round, 1-under-par 71 in the second round, and 4-under-par 68 in the final round.
This is Smith’s third Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Men’s Golfer-of-the-Week honor.
Women's Golfer of the Week: Kadence Fischer, Rocky Mountain (Mont.)
Fischer, a senior from Billings, Mont., was selected as the Women’s Golfer of the Week.
Fischer stormed back on the second day of the Battle at the Dance at Raindance Invitational. She scored 1-under-par 71 to total 8-over-par 152 strokes to fuel No. 15 ranked Rocky Mountain (Mont.) to another tournament victory.
This is Fischer’s third Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Women’s Golfer-of-the-Week honor.
