HELENA, Mont. – SWX Local Sports heads to Herb Klindt Field Saturday afternoon for the Frontier Conference East Division clash between the hosting Rocky Mountain (Mont.) and Dickinson State (N.D.).  Kick-off is set for 1 p.m. (Mountain Time).

The Battlin’ Bears (1-4 overall record, 1-0 FC East) are coming off from a bye week last week.  RMC is playing their first home divisional contest on Saturday versus the Blue Hawks.  Rocky Mountain’s last contest was on Oct. 4 as they opened their divisional schedule with a 31-21 road victory at Valley City State (N.D.), snapping their four-game losing skid which four teams that are currently ranked in the NAIA’s Top 25 national poll.

Dickinson State, despite opening the season with a 2-0 overall record and highest ranking of the 2025 season at No. 11, dropped their fourth straight game with a 27-25 home setback to Dakota State (S.D.) on Oct. 11.  The Blue Hawks are 2-4 overall record and seeking their first divisional win of the season.

Both teams met in the season openers in the past two seasons, with the Blue Hawks winning the previous meeting last season.  DiSU won by the score of 42-17, while RMC won the 2023 meeting in Billings, Mont., by the score of 20-19. 

Rocky Mountain was 4-0 record in all-time Frontier Conference during the early 2010’s.  The Battlin’ Bears had won seven straight home meetings with the Blue Hawks, dating back to 2009.
