Carroll duo and Montana Tech listed on Erck Hotels/Frontier Football Players-of-the-Week No. 7 edition

HELENA, Mont. – A pair of Carroll (Mont.) athletes and an athlete from Montana Tech were selected to the seventh edition of the 2025 Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Football Players-of-the-Week, announced by the conference office Monday.

Offensive Player of the Week: Kaden Huot, Carroll (Mont.)

Huot, a junior quarterback from Helena, Mont., is the Offensive Player of the Week.

He was outstanding in No. 14 ranked Carroll’s (Mont.) 42-34 road win at No. 8 ranked Montana Western in subpar conditions.  He accounted for six touchdowns – one rushing and five through the air – including a pair of 40-plus yards touchdown completions (40-yards and 75 yards).

Huot finished his day by going 22-for 36 (61.1 percent completion rate) with 349 passing yards.  He added a game-high 50 yards on the ground. 

Hout ranks No. 8 in the NAIA In passing yards (1,656 yards) and No. 5 in passing touchdowns (17). 

This is Huot’s first career Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Player of the Week award.

Defensive Player of the Week: Forrest Suero, Carroll (Mont.)

Suero, a senior defensive lineman from Helena, Mont., is the Defensive Player of the Week.

He was highly impressive from his spot on the defensive line in No. 14 ranked Carroll’s (Mont.) 42-34 road win over No. 8 ranked Montana Western.  His second career interception was a turning point in the win, setting up the Saints with an instant redzone opportunity that snowballed 21-unanswered points in the second quarter.

Suero also finished with five tackles in the game for CC.

This is Suero’s first career Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Player of the Week award.

Special Teams Player of the Week: Casey Kautzman, Montana Tech

Kautzman, a junior kicker/punter from Butte, Mont., is the Special Teams Player of the Week.

He went 2-for-2 on field goals and 5-for-5 on PAT extra point kicks in No. 7 ranked Montana Tech 49-7 road victory at MSU-Northern.  The Orediggers were only forced to punt once, but he landed it inside the opponent’s 10-yard line.

Kautzman scored 11 points in the game.  He currently ranks tied for second in the Frontier  in points scored with 48 points this season.  He converted 7-for-8 on field goals and has put more than half of his 25 punts inside the 20-yard line with just two touchbacks.

This is Kautzman’s first career Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Player of the Week award.
