HELENA, Mont. – The Frontier Conference has selected Bellevue (Neb.) University as the host institution for the 2027 and 2028 Frontier Conference women's volleyball postseason tournaments.
Bellevue will welcome the conference's top eight teams to the Bruins' home facility at BU Fieldhouse for the annual postseason championship. The tournament will continue to feature the Frontier Conference's single-elimination format, highlighted by quarterfinal, semifinal and championship matches.
"Hosting the 2027 and 2028 Frontier Conference Volleyball Championships are a tremendous honor for Bellevue University and our community,” said Bellevue’s Athletics Director Ed Lehotak. “The BU Fieldhouse, which opened in 2025, seats 1,000 and provides the perfect atmosphere for a championship of this caliber. We're grateful for the opportunity and committed to delivering a first-rate championship for every team, coach, and fan who makes the trip to Bellevue."
Bellevue joined the Frontier Conference in 2025 and quickly established itself as one of the conference's premier volleyball programs.
The Frontier Conference postseason tournament determines one of the conference's two automatic qualifying berths to the NAIA Women's Volleyball National Championship. The regular-season champion receives the conference's first automatic berth, while the postseason tournament champion claims the second automatic qualification. In the event the regular season champion is the tournament champion, then the second berth will be awarded to the tournament's runner-up.
Specific dates, game times and additional championship information for the 2027 and 2028 Frontier Conference women's volleyball postseason tournaments will be announced later.
