Fountain named first-team CSC Academic All-American

January 14, 2026

AUSTIN, Texas -- Senior outside hitter Eve Fountain (Omaha, Neb.) was named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America® first team in an announcement made today by CSC, becoming the first female student-athlete in Bellevue University history to earn first-team CSC Academic All-America honors.

Fountain, who was a second-team CSC Academic All-American in 2024, is now a two-time Academic All-America® honoree. Earlier this season, she was one of four Bruins named to the CSC Academic All-District Team, joining senior middle blocker Savanna Berger, senior right-side hitter Kealy Kiviniemi and junior setter Mila Aiwohi.

The CSC recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

In 2025, Fountain was named to the NAIA National Championship All-Tournament Team and earned Frontier Conference Attacker of the Year, first-team all-Frontier Conference and dual first-team NAIA and AVCA All-America honors. The 2025 season marked the third time she has been selected as a first-team All-American by both organizations and her fourth NAIA All-America recognition overall. She led Bellevue with 372 kills (3.18 per set), 44 service aces and 447.0 points, ranked second on the team with 370 digs (3.16 per set) and added 52 total blocks (10 solo, 42 block assists). Fountain recorded a team-leading 14 double-doubles, producing double-figure kills in 22 matches and double-figure digs in 19 contests, highlighted by 23 kills in BU's five-set win over Oklahoma Wesleyan at the NAIA National Championship and 16 kills, 28 digs and five blocks in a five-set home victory over then-No. 1 Providence.

An NAIA Scholar-Athlete, academic all-Frontier Conference honoree and now first-team CSC Academic All-American, Fountain concluded her career as Bellevue's all-time leader in kills with 1,917 and ranks sixth in program history in both digs (1,918) and service aces (161).

To be eligible for CSC Academic All-America® consideration, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore both academically and athletically, hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher (on a 4.0 scale) and either compete in 90 percent of their team's contests/sets or start in at least 66 percent of them.

The NAIA Academic All-America® program is financially supported by the NAIA national governance structure to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects of the NAIA Academic All-America® program.
