Three Frontier Conference athletes named to 2026 NAIA Softball All-America Second Team

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2026 NAIA Softball All-Americans, Player, and Pitcher of the Year honors following the World Series last week in Columbus, Ga.

A pair of catchers and an infielder player from the Frontier Conference were listed on the 2026 NAIA Softball All-America Second Team.

Senior catcher Brooke Lijewski, the Frontier Conference Softball Player-of-the-Year, helped Dickinson State (N.D.) to their sweep of the conference regular-season and post-season tournament titles.  She led the Blue Hawks with .424 batting average, .733 slugging percentage, and runs batted in (RBIs) with 64.

Lijewski tallied 73 hits this season for DiSU.  She drilled 18 doubles, smashed 11 home runs, and registered 22 walks.  She also recorded a fielding percentage of .994 with 162 total chances, 149 put-outs, 12 assists, and committed just one defensive error.

She ranked third in the Frontier Conference in batting average, second in runs batted in, and tied for second most home runs.

Junior catcher Marguerite Brown of Bellevue (Neb.), the Frontier Conference Softball Newcomer of the Year, led the team in numerous categories.  She led the Bruins in batting average (.460), on-base percentage (.510), slugging percentage (.781), hits (86), runs scored (43), and total bases (146 – led Frontier Conference).

She led the conference in slugging percentage and ranked second in the league in batting average for Bellevue.  Brown added a fielding percentage of .989 (285 total chances, 254 put-outs, 28 assists, and three errors.

Junior infielder Tehneson Ehnes of Providence (Mont.) was named to NAIA All-America Second Team.  She led the league with 72 RBIs, which is also seventh most RBIs in the NAIA.  Ehnes ranked fifth in the Frontier Conference with .412 batting average.

She also ranked second in the conference with 132 total bases for the Argos.

Lijewski, Brown, and Ehnes each were selected to the Frontier Conference Softball All-Conference First Team.
