GREENWOOD, Ind. -- Bellevue University's Marguerite Brown (Chatham, Ontario) has been named to the 2026 College Sports Communicators Softball Academic All-America Team, the organization announced Tuesday.
The CSC Academic All-America program honors top student-athletes from NCAA Division I, II, and II, as well as the NAIA, for their combined achievements in competition and in the classroom.
Brown becomes the first CSC Academic All-American in program history after a banner first year as the Bruins' catcher. Brown led BU in batting average, on-base percentage, slugging percentage, hits, doubles, runs scored, and total bases. She also ranked second on the team in home runs and RBIs.
Her .460 batting average and 29 doubles both set Bellevue single-season records. Brown also finished fourth in program history in single-season hits, fifth in on-base percentage, sixth in total bases, and 10th in slugging percentage.
Brown produced 28 multi-hit games, 12 multi-RBI games, and homered in nine games.
