2025-26 Frontier Conference Men's Golf Champions of Character recipients, presented by WinWon Technologies

HELENA, Mont. – The Frontier Conference presented the 2025-26 Champions of Character recipients for men’s golf, presented by our partner WinWon Technologies. They were recognized at the conclusion of the conference tournament at Papago Club in Phoenix, Ariz., on April 29.

Head coaches were asked to select one student athlete per team he or she coaches to receive this prestigious award. The award recognizes student-athletes who best exemplify the five cores’ values of the NAIA Champions of Character initiative: integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership.
On behalf of WinWon Technologies, the Frontier Conference is pleased to recognize eight exceptional student athletes from Frontier Conference golf members’ institution:
Bellevue (Neb.)
- Dylan Rodgers: A junior from Meridian, Idaho, majoring in business. His coach, Rob Brown, comments: "Dylan Rodgers exemplifies the core values of the NAIA Champions of Character initiative—integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership. Dylan is a nice, courteous, and determined young man who competes with honesty, shows consistent respect for others, and takes responsibility for his preparation and performance. He demonstrates strong sportsmanship in all situations and leads by example, positively impacting his teammates and program. His character reflects the true spirit of a Champions of Character student-athlete."
Carroll (Mont.)
- TJ Fierling: A junior from North Bend, Washington, majoring in business management and marketing. His coach, Bennett Macintyre, states: "TJ is always the first person to volunteer to help out, he puts others first and is a servant leader. He works hard both in the classroom and on the golf course and truly cares about his teammates, and his college. TJ is a great example of what being a SAINT is all about."
Dickinson State (N.D.)
- Tyus Thomas: A senior from Glen Ullin, North Dakota, majoring in finance. His coach, Thadd O’Donnell, says: "Tyus truly embodies what it means to be a champion of character."
Mayville State (N.D.)
- Damian Pokrzywinski: A senior from Drayton, North Dakota, majoring in accounting & business administration. According to his coach, John Murphy: "Damian has been invaluable in getting our golf program off the ground. His work ethic is second to none and has been vital in improving our facilities."
Montana Tech
- Trey Mattson: A senior from Missoula, Montana, majoring in petroleum engineering. His coach, David Starcevich, comments: "Trey's can-do attitude is infectious amongst the team. Always looking at the positive side of a tough situation. Keeping the team's attitude high by making a joke to enlighten the mood when others are down on themself. Provided help to the golf program this year. Also supports Montana Tech by giving campus tours to incoming students."
Providence (Mont.)
- Dutch Teders: A junior from Helena, Montana, majoring in nursing. His coach, Reece Zeigler, shares: "Dutch consistently demonstrates what it means to be a Champion of Character through integrity, accountability, and leadership. They compete with honesty and respect for the game, hold themselves to a high standard both academically and athletically, and are a positive influence on their teammates. Their work ethic, sportsmanship, and willingness to put the team first make them a great representative of our program and the NAIA core values."
Rocky Mountain (Mont.)
- Nathan Piers: A junior from Edmonton, Alberta, majoring in business administration with accountancy concentration. His coach, Nathan Bailey, says: "Nathan is our Champions of Character recipient, consistently demonstrating the qualities that define both an outstanding teammate and a dedicated student-athlete. He has earned the respect of those around him through his selflessness, positive attitude, and commitment to putting the team first. Whether in practice, competition, or the classroom, Nathan approaches every responsibility with a strong work ethic and a drive to improve. He leads by example, holding himself accountable while encouraging others to be their best, and represents the values of integrity, discipline, and perseverance in everything he does."
Valley City State (N.D.)
- Zach St. Aubin: A junior from Ashley, North Dakota, majoring in environmental science. His coach, Collin Hoss, comments: "Zach represents the values of a champion of character through how he competes, treats his competitors, helps his teammates, and excels in the classroom."
