HELENA, Mont.  – The Frontier Conference has announced Thursday that 111 women’s basketball student-athletes from twelve (12) conference programs as Academic All-Conference, presented by Billings Clinic and Logan Health.

Valley City State (N.D.) led the overall league with 15 recipients on the conference academic list.  Rocky Mountain (Mont.) added 13 recipients to the list, while Dakota State (S.D.) and Montana Western each added 11recipients.  Dickinson State (N.D.) and Montana Tech each recorded nine scholar-athletes on the conference list.

Mayville State (N.D.) and MSU-Northern each tallied eight recipients to the conference academic list.  Bellevue (Neb.), Bismarck State (N.D.), and Carroll (Mont.) each registered seven conference academic all-conference recipients.  Providence (Mont.) recorded six recipients to the list.

To be eligible for the award, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore in standing and carry a minimum 3.25 cumulative grade point average (GPA).

The Frontier Conference Women's Basketball tournament gets underway Friday afternoon at 12 p.m. (Mountain Time) at Butte Civic Center in Butte, Mont.  The eight-team postseason tournament is being hosted by Montana Tech and will kick off with a pair of quarterfinals contests Friday and Saturday.  The semifinals are set for Sunday and the championship game on Monday evening at 5 p.m. (MT).

The first three day of the tournament will have a live stream video vai Frontier Conference's YouTube page.  SWX Local Sports will be broadcasting the championship game on Monday evening.
