HELENA, Mont. – An athlete from Bellevue (Neb.) and a pair of athletes from Providence (Mont.) were selected to the third installment of the 2025-26 Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Women’s Volleyball Players-of-the-Week, announced Monday.
Attacker of the Week: Eve Fountain, Bellevue (Neb.)
Fountain, a senior outside hitter from Omaha, Neb., was chosen as the Attacker of the Week.
She helped the 2
nd ranked Bruins to an upset sweep over top-ranked Indiana Wesleyan 3-0 in the rematch of last year’s NAIA national championship match. She posted a double-double of 12 kills and 17 digs, to go along with her .455 hitting percentage in the match.
She added 11 kills and nine digs in Bruins 3-0 victory over Dakota Wesleyan (S.D.). She finished the tournament with 23 kills, 26 digs (4.3 d/s), four blocks and two service aces. She hit .345 in two matches at the College of Saint Mary (Neb.) Labor Day Classic.
This is Fountain’s first career Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Player of the Week award.
Setter of the Week: Bella Thompson, Providence (Mont.)
Thompson, a senior setter from Kapahulu, Oahu, was named as the Setter of the Week.
Thompson averaged 10.6 set assists per set as No. 10 ranked Providence (Mont.) went 4-0 in the College of Saint Mary (Neb.) Labor Day Classic, including wins over No. 24 William Carey (Miss.) and No. 8 Indiana Kokomo.
In Argos’ 3-2 victory over Indiana-Kokomo, she posted 50 assists, 11 digs, 4 blocks, and 3 service aces.
Thompson accumulated 138 set assists, 30 digs (2.3 d/s), 11 kills, 10 blocks, and 5 service aces in the tournament.
This is Thompson’s 12
th career Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Player of the Week award.
Defender of the Week: Cabry Taylor, Providence (Mont.)
Taylor, a junior middle blocker from White Sulphur Springs, Mont., was selected as the Defender of the Week.
She tallied 23 blocks, averaging 1.6 blocks per set, as the 10
th ranked Argos went 4-0 in the College of Saint Mary (Neb.) Labor Day Classic. She recorded eight blocks in UP’s 3-0 win over #24 William Carey (Miss.) and seven blocks in Providence’s 3-2 victory over No. 8 ranked Indiana-Kokomo.
Taylor added four blocks in each of UP’s 3-0 victories over Oklahoma Panhandle State and Dakota Wesleyan (S.D.).
This is Taylor’s first career Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Player of the Week award.
