HELENA, Mont. – Rocky Mountain swept the final spring edition of the 2025 Erck Hotels/Frontier Men’s and Women’s Golfers-of-the-Week awards Tuesday afternoon.

Men's Golfer of the Week:  Kristjan Burkelca, Rocky Mountain Burkelca, a sophomore from Domzale, Slovenia, was selected as the Men’s Golfer of the Week.

He fired seven-under-par 209 strokes to win the Frontier Conference/Cal Pac Qualifying individual title, leading the 18^th ranked Battlin’ Bears to the team title and the automatic bid to the NAIA national tournament.

He kicked off the tournament by firing 4-under-par 68 strokes, followed by a second round even-par 72 strokes.   Burkelca finished the tournament with 3-under-par 69 strokes.

Women's Golfer of the Week:  Grace Metcalf, Rocky Mountain Metcalf, a junior from Arlington, Wash., was selected as the Women’s Golfer of the Week.

She led the Battlin’ Bears as individual champion after winning the Frontier Conference/Cal Pac Qualifying Tournament.

Metcalf led wire-to-wire in all three rounds, scoring 18-over-par 234 strokes in the tournament.  She started the first round with four-over-par 76 strokes, followed by second round of 9-over-par 81.

Metcalf finished the tournament with seven-over-par 79 strokes.  She helped Rocky Mountain to the team title, earning the automatic bid to the NAIA national tournament in May.
