HELENA, Mont. – (RV) Rocky Mountain (Mont.) swept both offensive and defensive weekly honors Monday on the ninth installment of the 2025-26 Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Men’s Basketball weekly awards, announced by the conference office.
The tenth edition of the weekly basketball awards will return after New Year on Jan. 5, 2026. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the Frontier Conference!
Offensive Player of the Week: Sherman Royal III, Rocky Mountain (Mont.)
Royal III, a senior forward from Palm Beach, Fla., was selected as the Offensive Player-of-the-Week.
He was (RV) Battlin’ Bears leading scorer overall at the Cactus Classic, leading the squad to a 2-1 record. He averaged 16.7 points per game on his 17-of-33 field goal shooting (51.5 percent), 5-of-7 from the 3-point line, and 11-of-13 from the free-throw line.
Royal III also averaged 1.7 offensive rebounds and 1.3 assists per game for Rocky Mountain.
This is Royal III’s first career Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Player of the Week award.
Defensive Player of the Week: Royce Robinson, Rocky Mountain (Mont.)
Robinson, a sophomore guard from Lewiston, Mont., was selected as the Defensive Player of the Week.
He averaged 3.7 defensive rebounds, 1.0 steal, and 1.0 block per game as (RV) Rocky Mountain (Mont.) went 2-1 record for the week in the Cactus Classic.
He registered two blocks, two steals, and three defensive rebounds as RMC closed the tournament with an 84-81 overtime setback to No. 13 Hope International (Calif.).
Robinson added five defensive rebounds, a steal, and a block in RMC’s 74-69 win over Ottawa (Ariz.). He added three rebounds in RMC’s 66-60 win over Park-Gilbert (Ariz.).
This is Robinson’s first career Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Player of the Week award.
