UMW duo and EOU listed on 2025 Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Football Players-of-the-Week No. 11 edition

HELENA, Mont. – A pair of athletes from Montana Western and an athlete from Eastern Oregon were selected to the 11th installment of the 2025 Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Football Players-of-the-Week, announced by the conference office Monday.

Offensive Player of the Week: Michael Palandri, Montana Western

Palandri, a redshirt senior quarterback from Maple Valley, Wash., is the Offensive Player of the Week.

Palandri threw for 423 yards and school-record eight touchdowns in fueling No. 19 ranked Montana Western to their 66-14 regular-season victory over Arizona Christian.  He completed 19-of-24 passes (79.2 percent completion rate).

He connected on a 70-yard touchdown pass to extend UMW’s lead to 21-7 in the first quarter.  He added 46- and 54-yard touchdown passes and successfully completed a two-point conversion. 

Palandri tossed touchdown passes to seven different Bulldog receivers in the game.  He rushed for 16 yards.

This is Palandri’s fifth career Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Player of the Week award.

Defensive Player of the Week: Jason Grant, Eastern Oregon

Grant, a senior defensive back from Toppenish, Wash., is the Defensive Player of the Week.

He delivered an outstanding performance on defense in Eastern Oregon’s 34-0 home finale victory over Simpson (Calif.).  Grant finished with ten tackles – 5 solo tackles and 5 assist tackles. 

He made a game-changing impact with an interception and returned it for 45 yards.  He also added a fumble recovery and returned it for five yards. 

This is Grant’s third career Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Player of the Week award.

Special Teams Player of the Week: Maclain Burckley, Montana Western

Burckley, a redshirt kicker/punter from Billings, Mont., is the Special Teams Player of the Week.

He scored 10 points in No. 19 ranked Montana Western’s 66-17 regular season finale home victory over Arizona Christian.  Burckley drained 46-yard field goals and went 7-for-7 on PAT extra point kicks in the game.

He has nailed down three field goals over 45 yards this season for the Bulldogs.  Burckley averaged 53.0 yards per kickoff and 36.0 yards per punt.

This is Burckley’s third career Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Player of the Week award.
