HELENA, Mont. – An athlete from Dickinson State (N.D.) and Bellevue (Neb.) were selected to the first installment of the 2025-26 Erck Hotels/Frontier Women’s Basketball Players-of-the-Week, announced Tuesday by the conference office.
Offense of the Week: Kaylin Garza, Dickinson State (N.D.)
Garza, a senior forward from Belle Fourche, S.D., was selected as the Offense Player of the Week.
She averaged 15.5 points per game as Dickinson State (N.D.) fell in a pair of games at No. 7 ranked Lewis-Clark State (Idaho). She shot 51.9 percent from the field (14-of-27 field goals) and converted 3-of-4 free-throws for the week.
Garza averaged 1.5 offensive rebounds per game as well as 1.5 assists per game for the Blue Hawks.
This is Garza’s first career Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Player of the Week award.
Defense of the Week: Zakiyyah Muhammad, Bellevue (Neb.)
Muhammad, a junior forward from Omaha, Neb., was selected as the Defense Player of the Week.
She recorded a double-double in Bellevue’s (Neb.) season-opening 77-47 home victory over College of Saint Mary (Neb.). Muhammad pulled down 10 rebounds (6 defense), recorded a blocked shot, and registered a steal in the game.
She also contributed 12 points in the game for the Bruins.
This is Muhammad’s first career Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Player of the Week.
