HELENA, Mont. – Dickinson State (N.D.) and Bellevue (Neb.) were tabbed on the seventh installment of the 2025 Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Cross Country Runners-of-the-Week, announced Tuesday by the conference office.

The next and final Frontier Conference Cross Country Runners-of-the-Week will be on Tuesday, Oct. 28.

Men's Runner of the Week: Caleb Sarsland, Dickinson State (N.D.) Sarsland, a junior from Bowman, N.D., was selected as the Men’s Runner of the Week.

He captured the Yellowjackets/Battlin’ Bears Open (Frontier Conference preview meet) with a blazing time of 24 minutes, 45.2 seconds.  A total of 103 runners completed the 8K race, which included schools from NCAA Division II and Frontier Conference.

This is Sarsland’s second career Erck Hotels/Frontier Men’s Cross Country weekly honor.

Women's Runner of the Week: Grace Steinmetz, Bellevue (Neb.) Steinmetz, a freshman from Council Bluffs, Iowa, was named as the Women’s Runner of the Week.

She was the overall champion in the Dordt (Iowa) Holiday Inn Express Classic.  Steinmetz turned in the fastest time among 246 runners in two races that included NCAA Division I, II, and NAIA athletes.

Her time for 6K was 20 minutes, 40.4 seconds, which is Bellevue’s (Neb.) new school record.  She broke her previous school record time of 21:33.7 two weeks ago at Dordt Prairie course.  Steinmetz shattered the previous course record time of 21:52.6.

She is currently second in the NAIA’s 6K fastest time behind Jaynie Halterman of Taylor (Ind.), 20 minutes, 4.7 seconds.  Steinmetz became the second NAIA runner to go sub-21 minutes this fall.

This is Steinmetz’s second career Erck Hotels/Frontier Women’s Cross Country weekly honor.
