The Frontier Athletic Conference established a Student Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) for the first time in 2022.
The Frontier Conference SAAC will be guided by the following NAIA Champion of Character principles: integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership.
The SAAC is composed of two student-athletes from each campus to assist the conference office with the following charges:
- Address general student-athlete concerns on campus and within the conference.
- Provide feedback on conference issues affecting student-athlete welfare.
- Assist in educating student athletes about NAIA issues on their home campus.
- Promote participation in Champions of Character initiatives.
- Increase and improve student-athletes’ understanding of the Legislative process.
The SAAC is also important as it allows an open forum for student-athletes from schools across the athletic conference to share initiatives at the various campuses. It allows student-athletes to share about the following topics:
- To identify and provide educational opportunities focused on enhancing the life of student-athletes.
- Develop valuable leadership skills while addressing changes in rules and regulations, organizing community service events, and building a positive image for collegiate athletes.
- To cooperate in conference-wide initiatives, forums, and other events.
