2026 Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Football Players-of-the-Week No. 2

HELENA, Mont. – Montana Western, Montana Tech, and College of Idaho received recognition on the second edition of the 2026 Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Football Players-of-the-Week, announced Monday by the conference office.

Offensive Player of the Week
Eli Nourse, Montana Western

Wide Receiver I Senior I Dillon, Mont.

Nourse had a record-setting performance in No. 18 ranked Montana Western’s 49-35 road victory over MSU-Northern. He hauled in nine receptions for 170 yards and a program-record five touchdown catches.

All five of his touchdowns came during the first half as Montana Western built its advantage.  Four of Nourse’s five touchdown receptions came in the second quarter, accounting for all 28 of the Bulldogs’ points in the period.

He averaged 18.9 yards per reception, highlighted by a game-long 63-yard catch.  Nourse finished with 204 all-purpose yards, adding a 34-yard kickoff return, and accounted for 30 points in the victory.

This is Nourse’s second career Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Player of the Week award.

Defensive Player of the Week
Christian Hansen, Montana Tech

Defensive Back I Senior I Butte, Mont.

Hansen helped No. 5 ranked Montana Tech to a 24-14 home victory over No. 11 ranked Carroll (Mont.) in the NAIA Top 15 battle.  He filled the stat sheet with six total tackles, two tackles for loss, one interception, one forced fumble and two pass breakups. 

His interception and forced fumble came on back-to-back Carroll possessions during the third quarter, helping Montana Tech extend its lead to 17-7.  Both takeaways marked career firsts for Hansen. 

Hansen's performance helped anchor a Montana Tech defense that limited Carroll to just 99 yards of total offense.

This is Hansen’s first career Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Player of the Week award.

Special Teams Player of the Week
Josh Horn, College of Idaho

Kicker/Punter I Junior I Boise, Idaho

Horn contributed in multiple phases during the No. 4 ranked College of Idaho’s 63-13 home victory over Rocky Mountain (Mont.).  It was his second straight week that he had received the weekly honor.

Horn was a perfect 9-for-9 on extra-point attempts and averaged 42.0 yards on four punts, totaling 168 punting yards with a long of 46 yards. He placed one punt inside the 20-yard line, forced two fair catches, and did not have a touchback or blocked punt. 

Horn also recorded two kickoffs, including one touchback, as College of Idaho controlled field position throughout the contest.

This is Horn’s second career Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Player of the Week award.
