HELENA, Mont. — The Frontier Conference announced their fifth installment of the 2026 Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Football Players of the Week, recognizing Montana Western quarterback Kaden LaPlaunt, Dakota State (S.D.) defensive back Tamareon Foster and College of Idaho wide receiver Trezell Patterson following standout performances on Sept. 26.

Offensive Player of the Week
Kaden LaPlaunt, Montana Western
Quarterback I Sophomore I Granite Falls, Wash.

LaPlaunt accounted for five touchdowns and 422 yards of total offense as (RV) Montana Western earned a 41-27 road victory over Dickinson State (N.D.).

LaPlaunt completed 22 of 30 passes for 384 yards and four touchdowns, finishing with a 73.3 completion percentage and averaging 12.8 yards per attempt. He also carried the ball six times for 38 yards and another touchdown.

LaPlaunt ranks second nationally in passing yards per game at 318.3, third in passing touchdowns with 14 and fifth in total passing yards with 1,273.

This is LaPlaunt’s first career Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Player of the Week award.

Defensive Player of the Week
Tamareon Foster, Dakota State (S.D.)
Defensive Back I Junior I Orlando, Fla.

Foster intercepted two passes to help No. 21 Dakota State (S.D.) hold off Southern Oregon for a 27-25 road victory in the Frontier Conference crossover.

Both of Foster's interceptions came in the second quarter and helped swing momentum toward the Trojans. His first interception set up Dakota State's first scoring drive after Southern Oregon had opened the game with a scoreless first quarter.

Foster struck again later in the second quarter, returning his second interception 17 yards for a touchdown to give Dakota State its first lead of the game at 14-11. He finished the contest with two interceptions for 21 return yards and added two solo tackles.

The victory kept Dakota State undefeated in Frontier Conference crossover play for the second consecutive season.

This is Foster’s first career Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Player of the Week award.

Special Teams Player of the Week
Trezell Patterson, College of Idaho
Wide Receiver I Senior I Sparks, Nev.

Patterson provided a major spark on special teams in No. 3 ranked College of Idaho's 35-19 home victory over No. 2 Montana Tech.

Patterson returned two kickoffs for 127 yards, averaging 63.5 yards per return. His performance was highlighted by an 84-yard kickoff return for a touchdown on the final play of the first half for a 28-19 halftime lead.

The touchdown came immediately after a Montana Tech score and helped the Yotes carry momentum into halftime. Patterson later added a 47-yard kickoff return during the second half, setting up a scoring drive to put CI up 35-19.

This is Patterson’s first career Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Player of the Week award.
