HELENA, Mont.  – The Frontier Conference announced the fourth installment of the 2026 Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Football Players of the Week following Saturday’s action. The weekly awards recognize the top performances on offense, defense and special teams.

College of Idaho, Eastern Oregon, and Carroll (Mont.) were the recipients of this week’s football league awards.

Offensive Player of the Week
Caden Young, College of Idaho
Quarterback I Senior I Emmett, Idaho

Young produced six total touchdowns as No. 4 ranked College of Idaho rolled to a 59-14 road victory over MSU-Northern.

Young completed 18 of 22 passes for 291 yards and three touchdowns, completing 81.8 percent of his attempts. He averaged 13.2 yards per attempt, did not throw an interception and finished with a 237.9 passing efficiency rating. His longest completion went for 57 yards.

Young was equally effective on the ground, rushing nine times for 98 yards and three touchdowns, averaging 10.9 yards per carry. Young finished the game responsible for 389 yards of total offense and six touchdowns.

This is Young’s first career Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Player of the Week award.

Defensive Player of the Week
Monte Pettichord, Eastern Oregon
Defensive Back I Junior I Waitsburg, Wash.

Pettichord turned in an impact performance in Eastern Oregon’s 46-39 victory at Valley City State (N.D.) in the Frontier Conference cross-over contest.

Pettichord recorded nine tackles, including six solo stops and three assists, while adding a pass breakup. His biggest play came on an interception that he returned 35 yards for a touchdown, providing Eastern Oregon’s first points of the game.

Pettichord’s pick-six highlighted a defensive effort that helped the Mountaineers earn the road victory.

This is Pettichord’s first career Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Player of the Week award.

Special Teams Player of the Week
Gage Norslien, Carroll (Mont.)
Linebacker I Redshirt Junior I Lewistown, Mont.

Norslien made his presence felt on special teams in No. 15 ranked Carroll’s (Mont.) 42-7 victory over Dickinson State (N.D.).

On Dickinson State’s opening possession, Norslien broke through the protection and blocked a punt, which Carroll recovered and returned for a touchdown. It marked the Saints’ first blocked punt since the 2024 season and helped Carroll seize control early.

Norslien also contributed defensively, finishing with 10 tackles, including three solo stops and seven assists, with 1.5 tackles for loss.

This is Norslien’s first career Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Player of the Week award.
