NEW ORLEANS, La. – The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) has announced the women's track & field scholar teams and All-Academic athletes Monday. Five Frontier Conference institutions were listed, as well as 38 athletes were named to All-Academic status.
The criteria for achieving the USTFCCCA Team Scholar award, a team must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for all student-athletes who used a season of eligibility.
For USTFCCCA All-Academic award, an athlete must meet a minimum grade point average of 3.0 and achieved an 'A' or 'B' standard in a championship event during the indoor and/or outdoor season.
Dakota State (S.D.) led the Frontier Conference in team grade point average of 3.71, as well as landing with 11 recipients on the All-Academic list. Carroll (Mont.) followed up with 3.69 team grade point average, Dickinson State with 3.65 GPA, Montana Tech 3.45 GPA, and Bismarck State (N.D.) 3.28 GPA.
Dickinson State recorded nine athletes on the All-Academic list, followed by Montana Tech with eight, and Bismarck State and Carroll each with five recipients.
