DICKINSON, N.D. – The Frontier Conference held their final championship event of the 2025-26 academic year on May 2-3 in the outdoor track & field meet at Biesiot Activities Center, hosted by Dickinson State (N.D.). The league announced its official list of all-conference athletes.
Dakota State claimed the women’s outdoor track & field team title with 167 points.
Amelie Steins of Dakota State was named to the Frontier Conference Women’s Outdoor Track Athlete-of-the-Meet after scoring a total of 31 points in the running events. She won the 100-meter hurdles title with a conference meet record time of 13.91 seconds (previously held by Olleca Severson of Montana Tech with a time of 14.82 seconds).
Steins was also second in the 100-meter dash (11.99 seconds) and 200-meter dash (25.34 seconds). She placed fourth in the 400-meter dash (59.31 seconds for the Trojans.
The Frontier Conference head coaches voted DaSU’s Steins as the league’s Most Valuable Athlete. In addition, Steins finished with a total of 49 points in the conference meet, including the heptathlon title, and second place in the long jump.
Chloe Gunderson of Dickinson State (N.D.) tallied 25 points to claim the Frontier Conference Women’s Outdoor Field Athlete-of-the-Meet. She won the shot-put title with a conference meet record of 14.60 meters (47 feet, 10.75 inches) and the discus with 45.51 meters mark (149 feet, 3 inches). She was also fourth in the hammer throw after tossing 53.15 meters (174 feet, 4 inches).
Alex Glover of DaSU was selected as the Pepsi Frontier Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Coach-of-the-Year.
Athletes earning All-Conference recognition must be in the top three in each event.
A total of 13 conference meet records were set in the 2026 Frontier Conference Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Championship.
