2026 Frontier Conference Men's Outdoor Track & Field All-Conference

DICKINSON, N.D. – The Frontier Conference held their final championship event of the 2025-26 academic year on May 2-3 in the outdoor track & field meet at Biesiot Activities Center, hosted by Dickinson State (N.D.).  The league announced its official list of all-conference athletes.

Montana Tech was trailing by two points before the last event in the 4 x 400-meter relay and overtook the team title after defeating Dickinson State (N.D.) by four points (154-150).  It was the Orediggers’ third title in the last four seasons in men’s outdoor track & field.

Morgan McClernan of Montana Tech was named to the Frontier Conference Men’s Outdoor Track Athlete-of-the-Meet after collecting 27.5 points in the running events.  He won the 110-meter hurdles title with a conference meet record of 13.97 seconds, breaking his previous conference meet record of 14.91 seconds.  He was second in the 400-meter hurdles (53.07 seconds) and fourth in the 400-meter dash (49.75 seconds).

McClernan was also part of the 4 x 100-meter relay team that won the title (41.21 seconds – conference record), as well as second in the 4 x 400-meter relay.

Carson Krack of Carroll (Mont.) was named as the Frontier Conference Men’s Outdoor Field Athlete-of-the-Meet after scoring 26 points.  He won a pair of field event titles, winning the decathlon and the long jump (7.09 meters – 23 feet, 3.25 inches).  He was third in the high jump after clearing the height of 1.96 meters (6 feet, 5 inches).

Krack was voted as the Frontier Conference Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Most Valuable Athlete.  He scored a total of 51 points, highlighted by a conference meet decathlon record of 7,078 points, breaking his previous conference meet record of 6,840 points.  He also won the long jump and the 400-meter hurdles (52.86 seconds – conference meet record).

Chuck Merrifield of MT was voted as the Pepsi Frontier Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Coach-of-the-Year.

Athletes earning All-Conference recognition must be in the top three in each event. 

A total of 14 conference meet records were set in the 2026 Frontier Conference Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Championship.
