DICKINSON, N.D. – The 2026 Frontier Conference Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Multi-Events Championships were held on April 19-20 at Biesiot Activities Center, hosted by Dickinson State (N.D.).  A total of 11 athletes from five different schools – Dakota State (S.D.), Dickinson State, Carroll (Mont.), Montana Tech, and Valley City State (N.D.) – competed in heptathlon, consisting of seven different events on the two-day span.

Amelie Steins of Dakota State won the conference heptathlon title with 4,796 points.  Katelyn Christensen of Carroll was second with 4,621 points.  Alya Janzen of Montana Tech placed third with 4,528 points.  Steins, Christensen, and Janzen had secured the All-Conference honor.

The Trojans earned the early lead in the 2026 Frontier Conference Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Championship standings with 15 points, thanks to Steins’ title winner and a fourth-place finish by Casey Olson with 4,505 points.  The Fighting Saints are second after the first event with 11 points.

Montana Tech is third in the standings with six points, followed by Dickinson State fourth with five points, and Valley City State fifth with two points.
