HELENA, Mont. – Valley City State (N.D.) and Bellevue (Neb.) were listed on the eleventh edition of the 2025-26 Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Baseball weekly honors, announced by the conference office Monday.

Pitcher of the Week: Connor Martin, Valley City State (N.D.) Martin, a sophomore pitcher from Nesbitt, Manitoba, Canada, was named the Pitcher-of-the-Week.

With his 10-0 complete game shutout victory over Mayville State (N.D.), Martin extended his scoreless streak to 13 innings for Valley City State (N.D.).  It was his first complete game and first shutout of the season. 

Martin now has 96 strikeouts in 66 innings this season.  His 96 strikeouts are fourth most in school history.  He is on a pace to set the school record which was set back in 1987.

This is Martin’s first career Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Player of the Week award.

Player of the Week: Carter Claerhout, Bellevue (Neb.) Claerhout, a senior from first baseman Red Deer, Alberta, Canada, was named Player-of-the-Week.

Claerhout batted .682 (15-of-22 at the plate) with a 2.060 OPS and 1.364 slugging percentage on the week as No. 3 ranked Bellevue (Neb.) secured the Frontier Conference baseball regular season outright title with a five-game series sweep of Dakota State (S.D.).  He hit four home runs, drove in 10 runs, and scored 10 runs. 

Claerhout had three hits four times during the week and produced extra base hits four times.  He currently leads the NAIA in batting average and hits, and ranks second in both OPS and slugging percentage.  Claerhout extended his hitting streak to 21 games.

This is Claerhout’s fourth career Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Player of the Week award.
