Dakota State (S.D.) sweeps third edition of 2025 Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Cross Country Runners-of-the-Week

HELENA, Mont. – Dakota State (S.D.) swept the third edition of the 2025 Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Cross Country Runners-of-the-Week awards, announced Tuesday by the conference office.

Men's Runner of the Week: Evan Armstrong, Dakota State (S.D.)

Armstrong, a junior from Aurora, Colo., was selected as the Men’s Runner of the Week.

He led the Trojans to a fifth-place finish individually at Sunflower Open, hosted by No. 18 ranked Dordt (Iowa).  He was one of the two DaSU runners to place in the Top 10.

Armstrong clocked a time of 26 minutes, 32 seconds in the 8K racecourse, featuring a total of 81 runners.  He helped Dakota State to a runner-up finish in the team standings.

This is Armstrong’s first career Erck Hotels/Frontier Men’s Cross Country weekly honor.

Women's Runner of the Week: Brooke Beaucaire, Dakota State (S.D.)

Beaucaire, a senior from Beaumont, Calif., was named as the Women’s Runner of the Week.

She placed fifth in the 5K racecourse, helping (RV) Dakota State (S.D.) to a team runner up behind host team No. 9 Dordt (Iowa) at the Sunflower Open. 

Beaucaire clocked a time of 19 minutes, 7 seconds in the race, featuring a total of 73 runners.

This is Beaucaire’s first career Erck Hotels/Frontier Women’s Cross Country weekly honor.
