HELENA, Mont. – Carroll and Rocky Mountain received the fourteenth installment of the 2024-25 Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Women’s Basketball Players-of-the-Week honors.
Offense of the Week: Willa Albrecht, Carroll
Albrecht, a senior guard from Billings, Mont., was selected as the Offense Player of the Week.
Albrecht put together one of the best scoring weeks in Carroll women’s basketball history. She averaged 27 points on 63.6 percent field goal shooting (21-of-33 field goals), while shooting 57 percent from the 3-point line (8-of-14 3-pointers).
She led all scorers in a pair of CC’s wins, scoring 25 points (10-of-14 field goals, 4-of-6 3-pointers, 1-of-1 free throw) in 76-56 victory over (RV) Montana Tech and 29 points (11-of-19 field goals, 4-of-8 3-pointers, and 3-of-4 free throws) in 70-65 overtime win at (RV) Rocky Mountain.
Albrecht pulled down four offensive rebounds for the week and dished out a pair of assists.
This is Albrecht’s fourth career Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Player of the Week award.
Defense of the Week: Isabelle Heggem, Rocky Mountain
Heggem, a freshman forward from Winifred, Mont., was selected as the Defense Player of the Week.
Heggem totaled eight blocks over the weekend for the Battlin’ Bears, including five blocks in a narrow 70-65 defeat to No. 20 ranked Carroll. She averaged 4.0 blocks, 5.5 defensive rebounds, and 1.5 steals per game.
Heggem registered three blocks, seven defensive rebounds, and recorded a steal in RMC’s 58-48 win over MSU-Northern. She followed up with five blocks, four defensive rebounds, and two steals against the Saints.
This is Heggem’s second career Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Player of the Week award.
