TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Runners from eight different Frontier Conference schools are preparing for the 46
th annual Women’s Cross Country and 70
th annual Men’s Cross Country National Championship Friday at Apalachee Regional Park.
Carroll (Mont.) will represent the women’s league at the national meet after winning the 2025 Frontier Conference Women’s Championship earlier this month in Billings, Mont. Montana Tech received an at-large invitation as a team to the national women’s cross country meet.
Four individuals from four different schools are also set to compete on Friday, highlighted by Frontier Conference individual winner Grace Steinmetz of Bellevue (Neb.). Ava Stafford of Bismarck State (N.D.), Kelsey Stensland-Plymale of Providence (Mont.), and Frida Barrera of Valley City State (N.D.).
The women’s 6K race is set for 8:30 a.m. (Eastern time)/7:30 a.m. (Central Time)/6:30 a.m. (Mountain Time).
Rocky Mountain (Mont.) earned the Frontier men’s automatic qualifier to national meet. Carroll also received an automatic bid for the national meet.
Justin Morgan and Benjamin Zerr of Montana Tech, join Jackson Ensign of Bismarck State (N.D.) and Caleb Sarsland of Dickinson State (N.D.) as the individual national qualifiers from the Frontier Conference.
The men’s 8K race kicks off at 9:30 a.m. (ET)/8:30 a.m. (CT)/7:30 a.m. (MT). The post-race awards are scheduled for approximately 11 a.m. (ET)/10 a.m. (MT)/9 a.m. (MT).
