Skyview High School’s McKie Baker Signs with Rocky Cheer

BILLINGS, Mont.- Rocky Mountain College cheer coach Latisha Demarais announces the signing of McKie Baker of Billings, Mont.

Baker, a 5-foot-10-inch stuntman: back spot was a two year varsity cheerleader at Skyview High School. She is a member of Tri-M honors society and is a letterwinner in choir.

"I am ecstatic to have McKie as a part of our program and a student athlete here at RMC." Demarais said. "I had the privilege of coaching him over the last season at Skyview and to say he has good character and determination is an understatement. He will be a great addition for the school and athletics as a whole."

"I chose RMC because I like that each student has the opportunity to have a closer relationship with other students and teachers." Baker said. "It feels like a close-knit community, instead of a large school where you are just another face in the crowd. I chose RMC cheer specifically because I have had the opportunity to work with both the cheerleaders and the coaches this year and they have an excellent program that I'm excited to be part of."

Baker was coached by Shannon Baker at Skyview High School and plan to study music education.
