Frontier Conference

Men's Outdoor Track Athlete-of-the-Week: Morgan McClernan, Montana Tech McClernan, a senior from Butte, Mont., was chosen as the Track Athlete-of-the-Week.

He was named the Frontier Conference Men’s Outdoor Track Athlete-of-the-Meet as Montana Tech overtook the team title after the last event of the conference meet.  He accounted for 41 points at the two-day conference meet.

McClernan broke his own program record in the 110-meter hurdles in both prelims (14.04 seconds) and finals (13.97 seconds) with NAIA ‘A’ standards. 

He also ran the third leg on the conference champion 4 x 100-meter relay.  He anchored the 4 x 400-meter relay team that finished second and completed their comeback win to the team title.

McClernan also placed fourth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 49.75 seconds for the Orediggers.

This is McClernan’s third career Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Men's Outdoor Track & Field weekly honor.
