McClernan, a senior from Butte, Mont., was chosen as the Track Athlete-of-the-Week.

McClernan posted a pair of NAIA ‘B’ provisional qualifying times in a pair of meets for Montana Tech.  He ran a time of 14.46 seconds in the Whitworth Peace meet in Spokane, Wash., and then ran the seventh best NAIA’s 400-meter hurdles in their home meet, the Montana Tech Spring Series I on the next day.

He clocked a time of 52.70 seconds to win the 400-meter hurdles title.

He also teamed up with Jaxon Allery, Matthew Moreni, and Zach Merrifield to race to their second fastest time in program history with a time 41.58 seconds in the 4 x 100-meter relay, which ranks 27th in the NAIA.

It was McClernan’s second career Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Men’s Outdoor Track & Field weekly honor.
